Your printed code keeps working.
The most common complaint about QR code services is codes that stop working after a free trial ends, often after they're already printed on menus, flyers and wedding invitations. We built QRPainter so that can't happen.
How it works for you
- Free codes have no end date. No trial period, no "upgrade to keep your code" email.
- Free codes have no scan cap. A code is never switched off because it became popular.
- Paid codes keep working if you stop paying. They go back to being free codes, with the 2-second page that shows where the link leads. Nothing else changes.
- You can always download your code. PNG and SVG files are yours to keep and reprint.
When we would switch a code off
When it breaks our terms or the law: for example, if it leads to a scam, malware or phishing page, or if its owner asks us to. We may also refuse links that safety services such as Google Safe Browsing flag as dangerous.
If QRPainter ever closes
We would give at least 90 days' notice, let every owner export their codes and destinations, and aim to keep short links redirecting for as long as we reasonably can after that.
This page describes how we intend to run QRPainter. It is not a guarantee; the terms of use set out the legal commitments.
